Yadgar Fayeq is an accomplished educator, media personality, and communications professional from Kurdistan, Iraq. With a Master’s degree in English Literature and over a decade of experience in television journalism and public relations, Yadgar has become a familiar name in Kurdish media and academia.
Through his diverse roles as a university lecturer, television presenter, podcast host, and corporate communications leader, he continues to bridge understanding through the power of dialogue and education.

Born in 1983 in Kalar, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Yadgar was the first in his family to pursue higher education.
He earned his B.A. in English and then obtained an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Sulaimani in 2013, graduating with honors.
Master’s Research Focus: Themes in modern drama, reflecting his early passion for language and literature.
Since 2013, Yadgar has served as a lecturer in English at Charmo University (formerly part of University of Sulaimani).
He teaches linguistics and translation, mentoring the next generation of English-language students.

In 2007 he joined Gali Kurdistan TV as a news producer and later led the translation department.
Yadgar rose to fame as a television presenter from 2010 to 2016 on NRT, where he anchored news and hosted the political talk show ‘Tawtwe’ (Dialogue). In 2016, he joined Kurdistan 24 channel as a senior presenter and producer, hosting programs like Wêney Gawra and multilingual debate shows in Kurdish, Arabic, English, and Persian.
Today, Yadgar applies his media expertise in the corporate world as Managing Director of Administration and Head of PR and Media at SK Group, a leading conglomerate in Kurdistan. In this executive role, he oversees the group’s public communications and branding strategies.

Academic Research: Co-authored a 2019 paper on the “Dysfunctional Semantic Role of Language in Literary Texts” in a peer-reviewed journal, reflecting his deep engagement with language studies.
